I'm now following you too! I really got into reading with the Harry Potter books (such a great series) and I read children fantasy (which range in the middle grade) as well as YA. I feel that there is a difference between middle grade and YA with subject matter as well as how intense the romance and action is. Look forward to reading more post from you!!Literary Cravingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05810408886329440997noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-968334630266039708.post-82443046317133314812010-07-16T11:04:38.736-07:002010-07-16T11:04:38.736-07:00I think there are more subtleties in YA literature...I think there are more subtleties in YA literature, and certainly when it gets closer to adult. Who reacts to what and when, and there's definitely more romance. Personally, I prefer YA, but I've noticed that there is a different sort of action going on in MG books, and I like that aspect. It depends on the book, really. :)Golden Eaglehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08721520451194318436noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-968334630266039708.post-58945012669188800152010-07-16T10:06:05.885-07:002010-07-16T10:06:05.885-07:00That's a perfect bookshelf because it is FULL ...That's a perfect bookshelf because it is FULL of books. I was the same way with those Harry Potter books - reading them back to back - I was in fourth grade though.

I read a mix of middle grade and young adult. It's about an even split right now. And yeah, they are different. Middle grade has no romance or swear words or serious violence. Otherwise, I think they are pretty similar.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
